Jesus Is ________

I was going through my old notes and this is something I found from the book Jesus is ____ by Judah Smith. It's a really good book and I recommend it to all. It speaks a lot of about GRACE because Jesus is GRACE he's a lot of other things as well and it's beautifully written and clear to understand. Here's a snippet from the book that applies to my life right now.

The point isn't to quit thinking about sin. It's to quit thinking about self and to think about JESUS. 
It's to become God conscious and not me conscious. Do you know what Law does?  LAW makes us self conscious. When we are self- conscious, we become sin- conscious. We take our eyes off Jesus, and w focus on our failures, our weaknesses, our short comings. And we end up sinning even more because that's all we can think about. But grace makes us God conscious. When we live by grace, we are continually amazed by the love, goodness and holiness of God. We think about him, and that motivates us to act like him. Are you struggling with sin? You need more will- power. You need more Jesus. Loving Jesus, not avoiding sin, is the focal point of our lives. 

Once Jesus is the focal pint, once he is the culmination of life and the pinnacle of our existence, everything else makes sense. Life becomes simple again. Priorities fall into place and peace, joy, and rest return. 

"Come to me," Jesus calls to us today.
"Come to me all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." 
Jesus is the point of life. 

GOD is with us and for us 
SIN does not define us. 

The crown of thorns. CREATION MAG

I was reading creation mag the other day and it was really awesome! (I haven't even opened this magazine I had for about 2 years until recently oops).
To sum it up it was looking at what the bible indicated about the thorns that came about after Adam sinned and how if that was the case then MAN would've been created first before the thorns, which would mean evolution is not true. It was super detailed and I'm not science smart enough to grasp all of it but I loved the end of this article.

"But with correct (biblical) view of thorns, Jesus' death on the cross takes a greater 

poignancy (the quality of evoking a keen sense of sadness or regret). On his head he bore 

the consequences of the first man's rebellion against the Creator. If not for Adam's 

sin, there 

would have been no thorns for the Roman soldiers to twist into a 'crown' and force onto 

Jesus' head (John19:2-5). Crowned with thorns, a painful reminder of the consequences of 

the first Adam's sin, Jesus, the 'last Adam' (1 Corinthians 15:45), took upon Himself the 



Curse (Galatians 15:45) so that all who believe in Him are freed from it for eternity. There will be no more death, no more pain, no more curse, no more thorns- praise the "
